The project provided Tunisian experts support in their efforts to improve the EE of a wide range of technical applications in industry, transport and the building sector, for which RENAC provided a workshop with the technical committee of the project and representatives for the RE-ACTIVATE project. The company developed the curriculum, teaching and learning materials and a methodological guide for the implementation of a trainers’ cycle training courses.

The project incorporated the Capacity WORKS approach, which referred to a five-stage project implementation plan, based on the information that was gathered, there was a project launch, followed by the hypothesis formation, which included a deep analysis of existing information and documents, with this RENAC prepared the concepts, strategies and plans for the intervention and provided the presentation of deliverables after the project was executed.

RENAC was commissioned to offer the capacity building program included, for which it developed a capacity Needs Assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary to provide a 5-day-in-person workshop and a online training program for the participants to do as a self-paced learning program. The company designed, developed and executed the workshop and evaluation of CNA.

RENAC was commissioned to offer for four synchronic Lives sessions focusing on Green TVET occupations including Hydrogen/PtX Occupations, Curricula and Training Centers and, asynchrony format of the Green TVET school Hamburg, for which it designed and developed the curriculum and training material necessary, training videos and overall didactic material and their translations to French; as well as the implementation and moderation of the seminar. The company executed all marketing efforts to ensure a proper engagement with the participants.

The project was based on the design, development and execution of the virtual seminar, which included an assessment of participants background for the training to gain insights on how best provide the seminar to their particular needs, where they were given material and interactive discussions to provide a deepened education in Finance RE and EE.

In order to provide a know-how on basic Renewable Energies Technologies, the company prepared and provided a two day four hour lecture on providing not only an overview on renewable energy but also energy conversion on technologies for power generation and energy systems such as PV, batteries, Biogas and biomass.

The project included a seminar design, speaker selection, and practical sessions on wind and solar thermal energy. Marketing was handled via social media, with participant enrollment and pre-seminar courses offered on Moodle. Tasks also involve registration, seminar moderation, organizing a field trip to Feldheim and Solar Park Finow, issuing attendance certificates, and conducting a final evaluation.

RENAC offered the online capacity building training seminar, for which it developed a capacity Needs Assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary. The company executed a marketing strategy with ISA’s social platforms and provided the seminars on PV Technologies, as well as the provision of an online platform in Moodle through the Renewables Online Academy for additional learning material reference.

The project was based on the concept design and content development of the seminars, which included the development of the course program and the conduction of the seminar. RENAC developed the teaching material and presentation on Energy Transition as well as the delivery of training materials for all seminars executed.

RENAC developed a study tour program combined with training workshops for the participants joining from BAPPENAS, the ministry of National Development and Planning. The program included, field trips to RE plants (PV and wind installations), visits to technology companies and RE service providers, demonstration and pilot projects of EnEff initiatives, research institutions, grid operators and utilities, industry associations and consulting bodies. These gave participants the chance to talk to practitioners, owners and operators to experience the whole value chain of the technologies and their different perspectives. RENAC provided material with relevant information for each visit.

The program offered by RENAC covered the fundamentals of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, an understanding of the political and legal market framework, the financial aspects which included the overall project financing, the financial modeling and international climate finance options, and the project evaluation. The company offered a twenty-one-week online phase with an additional three-day-in-person seminar in Berlin. The learning experience of the program was complemented with access to short introductory courses on energy and electricity topics.

RENAC provided a five-day training on-site in Nigeria, for which it developed the methodology and content for a green hydrogen project developer workshop week. The execution of the training workshop week in Lagos, Nigeria, included the organization of the training regarding to location, catering, invitation management, selection of participants; the acquisition of industry players that joined individual sessions and; the development and evaluation of participants.

The project provided an analysis in consultation with stakeholders in all three countries, developed a detailed project report for setting up STAR Centres and a business plan for their long-term sustenance for Cote D’Ivoire, Uganda and Somalia, and established the specifications for procurement of hardware and software. In order to achieve this, a market research on the solar market in each country was conducted as well as a detailed capacity needs assessment. The methodology used was composed by desktop research, face-to-face and virtual interviews.

The project was based on a five-day study tour program in Germany on renewable energy for state actors working in the energy sector of Seneal, for which RENAC conducted short training setions on relevant topicsrelated to the study tour, identified points of interest, organized the visits, created the tour program with relevant informaiton materials, documented everything and presented the outcomes which strengthen the engagment of the participants to the objective of the training allowing them to see and learn from the vast German experience of implementation of RE projects.

RENAC was appointed to offer a in e-learning mode training in English and Spanish, which included a capacity building assessment, that consisted on a tailor-made session on PV-diesel hybrid systems, planning and energy efficiency finance project evaluation, risks, models and mechanisms. The company offered as well online sessions that covered Mini-grid regulatory frameworks key components and innovation, Mini-grid business models introduction and Mini-grid financing options for each of the three ISA regions: LAC, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

The project aimed to support the energy transition in the Dominican Republic, by increasing the knowledge on RE for their main stakeholders. RENAC was responsible for the design, development and deployment of the concept and facilitation of the trainings, as well as the coordination of experts and management of participants to deliver a satisfactory training in order for them to be enhanced and compliant on their renewable energy incentive.

RENAC was commissioned to execute a capacity building program, for which it developed a capacity needs assessment on the labor market in the PV sector in Senegal, this to create the basis for the curriculum developed and the necessary adaptation to the senegalese context of other training materials. The company executed the train-the-trainer seminar and additional shadowing of a pilot training with the local trainers. Additionally, the company created a training manual for the participants and program examinations.

RENAC was commissioned to offer the trainer shadowing program at the German-Jordanian CoE. The company co-created a teaching program with the participant trainers and developed a practical exercise workbook with them for further use at the CoE, adapting the curriculum and training material necessary. The selected photovoltaics vocational trainers, with support of a RENAC PV expert, delivered theory and practical exercises for one day each, for a total of five days shadowing. The PV expert provided assistance and feedback at the end of each day, in a one-on-one session. In addition, a RENAC Training Centre expert was on-site to develop, test, and commission new PV training equipment at the CoE.

The project was based on the design and implementation of the training seminar in Berlin, the selection of speakers, preparation of teaching material and exercises, and the training report and ex-post adaptation of teaching materials. The training provided by RENAC guaranteed participants to have a sound overview on RE and EE technologies and its field proofed application measures in agriculture. As well to assess the economic viability of these type of projects and to be aware of the business models in the agricultural sector and their indicators.

RENAC implemented a five-hour training workshop on technical challenges, operation and behavior of variable renewable energy (vRE) systems in the grid. For the workshop the resulting training materials were worked out in English and French. The company offered the expert to conduct the workshop and prepared the curriculum and training materials necessary.

The project was based on the consultancy for the REG renewable energy training center implementation. RENAC provided in the first phase of the project the preparation and inception of a desk study, which included the collection and review of strategic policy documents and business plans, identifying the key stakeholders to interview, and data compilation. On its second phase, the company shared preliminary findings and proposal development, presenting a draft proposal with its action plan for the project implementation. RENAC did the final reporting of the project with the amendment of the draft proposal with the comments done in the review, followed by the submission of the completed version.

The company offered the course in which the following themes were covered: engineering, social, economic and legal aspects. Site visits to hands-on examples facilitated examples to demonstrate the potential and feasibility of renewable energy technologies, but also the bottlenecks towards a sustainable energy supply based on RE. As well as the potential active contribution of the participants to the drafting of appropriate national energy strategies, taking the RE potential of their countries into account.

RENAC served as a consultant for the project to prepare possible business models for solar process heat supply and the exploitation of possible financial models. As well as for the developmet of a financing concept for financial institutions, standardized evaluation methodology and tool, plus roll out strategy.

The project was based on one-day training on Energy Efficiency in buildings and industry in Mannheim and Berlin, Germany for which RENAC was commissioned to design and implement this specific training. Nevertheless, the broader scope of the GIZ Manager Program included individual and group visits to potential business partners, for the trainees to gain an insight into the management of German companies. The participants were prepared for the particularities of dealing with potential German business partners through other intensive training courses and practical training measures.

For the project RENAC offered a two five-day course on PV installation and operation, project development and finance. With this goal the company facilitated the training using a participatory approach, which included a fact-finding mission and a capacity needs assessment. With the results of these activities, RENAC proposed a design for the program and the procedure for selection of trainers, and the evaluation and final report on the training of trainers.

The study-tour offered by RENAC involved the design of the study tour program, the selection of speakers, the implementation and moderation of the seminars, the organization of transportation and accommodations and the coordination of the site visits and seminars at external companies and universities. The seven-day delegation tour was undertaken with lectures at RENAC, a number of PV companies in Berlin, visits and lectures to agro-PV in Bavaria, Germany, and a site visit to a floating PV system outside of London, United Kingdom.

The project was based on the development of the practical exercises, which included its design and implementation, plus the availability of the training centre at RENAC’s headquarters in Berlin.

The Train-the-Trainer Training provided by RENAC was built upon an inception trip to determine quality and capacity gap of trainers, assessing the training materials, as well as the training centre in Mafraq, Jordan. For this, the company revised the existing Arabic materials in PV, developed and designed the solar thermal training materials for the seminar as well as practical exercises and exams.

RENAC was commissioned to implement the training program on RE and EE in agriculture for which the company designed the seminar concept, did a selection of speakers and experts on the topic, implemented and moderated the training as well as organized field trips to examples of biogas plant and PV plants in Germany.

RENAC offered a capacity building program on RTCM for Moroccan architects from the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA). For this assignment the company developed a capacity needs assessment to create the curriculum, training material necessary and a manual adapted to Moroccan context, RENAC was also in charge of the material’s translation. The company executed the program as a train-the-trainer seminar and additional shadowing of pilot training, as well as evaluation of participants. The program included principles and requirements of the RTCM, project compliance verfication, and the uses of the Moroccan Binayate software in its two variants: Prescriptive and Performance.

The project was based on the Technical Training about the Design, Installation and Quality Assurance of rooftop PV systems for which RENAC designed and developed the training and training material on the global solar market, solar energy, energy yield prediction, PV rooftop system design, installation standards, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of grid-tied rooftop PV systems in Jakarta, Indonesia.

RENAC was appointed to execute the seminar design and selection of lecturers for the 5-day presential training. Delivering and designing a practical examination for the participants as well certificates of attendance. This time the training took place in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

RENAC provided quality assurance for a co-certification PV off-grid program at LEA. Joining forces between RENAC-trainers and certified trainers from LEA, the program aimed at developing high quality training courses using materials and equipment for a knowledge-transfer strategy concerning technical, economical and managerial aspects on off-grid PV, ensuring a continuing collaboration between both academies. For this, the company designed a quality assurance concept, selected lecturers, implemented the seminar and prepared an examination and presented certificates of attendance to the participants. RENAC provided marketing support to promote the offered training courses.

RENAC provided a train-the-trainer program and quality assurance measures for rooftop PV on-grid installations in Egypt, with the objective of improving the instrallation skills of technicians in the country through capacity development. The program included an analysis of installed PV systems and their potential sources of error, the correct wiring and installation, connection of a small-scale PV system to the grid according to the grid code, the detection of source of failure and techniques for repair of rooftop PV systems. The training included as well theoretical knowledge on the design, calculation and sizing of PV rooftop systems.

Informed specialists play a crucial role in tackling global climate issues and shaping tomorrow’s energy systems, to enhance such international expertise the project based the activities on the development and conduction of online trainings on renewable energy technologies, design and conduction of study tours and seminars, selection of speakers and authors, plus activities reöated to marketing and administration of participants.

The project was based on a blended training course, combining a face-to-face seminar in the city of Essen, Germany and a three-month online training. RENAC provided the online course implementation, live virtual classroom, exam of the online course as well as certificates of the successful completion of the course. For the face-to-face seminar the company did a selection of speakers and all logistics related to the implementation.

In consultation with IFC, RENAC developed the curricula for a one-day workshop on Financing PV Systems, compiled relevant seminar material and send a German expert to conduct the workshop in Lagos. The workshop included the following topics: Introduction and applications (off-grid, hybrid), categorization of off-grid systems (from Diesel to stand-alone PV), technology basics on off-grid PV and PV hybrid systems, cost optimization through Energy Efficiency, sizing rules of thumb for off-grid systems, application possibilities, tariff options and management practices of mini-grid technologies, business case model calculation with RENAC´s financial calculation tool.

RENAC executed a 1-hour presentation on the topic of solar PV project finance, for which the company designed the presentation for the webinar. The moderation of the event was in charge of responsAbility. RENAC provided follow-up consultancy on questions from the participants.

The Train-the-Trainer program was based on RENAC’S trainings for on grid-connected photovoltaic technology systems and larger solar parks. The seminar preparation included the selection of speakers, administration of the preparatory online course and the implementation of the face-to-face seminar, including the creation of practical exercises.

RENAC was commissioned to offer the energy efficiency capacity building program, for which it developed a capacity needs assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary. The company designed and implemented the seminar with the concept development for scaling-up energy efficiency in buildings for Ukranian municipalities. Certificates of attendance were provided.

The capacity building program offered by RENAC included the review and revision of existing training materials and didactical concepts, in order to develop not only an inspector handbook but also an online portal for training materials to be downloaded. The company executed a train-the-trainer seminar and additional workshops oriented to senior management and district officers. Concluding with a consulting of training institutes for accreditation processes. The project aimed to qualify installer trainers to ensure good workmanship of installations, SECI inspectors to ensure safety, performance and acceptance of RTPV, and qualify engineer trainers of DISCOMs to teach commissioning of RTPV.

The project was structured as a two-phased course, for which RENAC offered the development and implementation of webinars in preparation for the presence training days in Berlin, the conduction of the comprehensive four-day training course and, the evaluation of the scope and effectiveness of the webinars and training course. In addition, the company organized site visits during the course and provided the participants with the necessary equipment for the training as well as practical exercises and respective training material.

RENAC was commissioned to organize and implement the training program on Variable Renewable Energy for staff from the Ministry of Environment and Energy. For this, the company was in charge of designing the seminar, selecting relevant speakers, and did the moderation of the seminar, aiming to prepare and disseminate technical and policy aspects of vRE in the Maldives.

RENAC was commissioned to offer the capacity building program on rural electriication with off-grid renewable energy systems, for which the company developed a capacity needs assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary. Through a train-the-trainer format, RENAC organized and moderated a series of workshops in Jakarta (Indonesia) on the topics like: Solar resource, load analysis and site assessment; principles of operation, types and configurations of off-grid PV systems; system monitoring and inspection; didactics and teaching methodology; health and safety on the work site and with equipment; service and Repair of PV Off-Grid Systems, among others.

The first stage of the project aimed to increase the quality of solar pumping installations in Morocco by improving the skills of the installers preparing them with higher quality training course materials. Once the first phase was completed, the GIZ commissioned RENAC, in a second stage, to review and pilot the training materials (produced by IFEMERE ans SwissContact) in order to ensure that the developed training modules could be replicated and diffused across different institutions and regions in the country. The company executed this review and organized the train-the-trainer seminars in Morocco.

RENAC implemented an assessment of detailed capacity needs for the finance management and the finance desk officers in the targeted finance institutions in all four focus countries. The company prepared and conducted the CNA in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia in cooperation with RCREEE, to acquire an assessment on the preparation of the private finance sector for an increased demand in green energy finance and its risks, identifying the main stakeholders from public, private and finance sector for a green banking project, to build a thematic network. This assessment was used for a further initiative to increase the availability of financing instruments for RE&EE projects in the region.

RENAC organized and conducted a three-day CDM workshop which aimed was to improve the requirement and procedures of CDM application and to assess CDM project possibilities for Pyongyang International Information Centre of New Technology and Economy. The company assessed the participants knowledge requirements for the course and designed the seminar accordingly, as well as the selection of speakers and preparation of teaching material, practical training, exercise, review and report.

The project focused on the adaptation of the German version of the Guidebook to english, for International readers. With this aim, RENAC developed and edited existing texts, worked on the graphic design of figures and tables, and portraying the technological spectrum of companies organized in VBI and providing potential customers with the guide as a testimonial to German engineering competence.

The company provided the design of the seminar including the preparation of materials, practical and technical activities, marketing efforts and administration of the participants, as well as all logistics preparations. The implementation and moderation of the seminar, that ellaborated on project development, policy and financial aspects of renewable energy, gave as well an introduction to Solar thermal and Wind technologies, grid integration and an overview on the German energy transition.

The project focused on a one-day seminar program for which RENAC developed and designed the workshops, which aimed to give an overview on rooftop PV and grid connected wind energy production, from a network and power system perspective.

The project focused on offering NITA technical assistance to review and uptate the curriculum (T3) for solar PV technicians and implement a train-the-trainer certification program. The review aimed at addressing the gaps on the current NITA T3, to provide a closer approach to international standards on PV technical training. RENAC tailored a new version of the T3 fusing in the new national training needs. The company also provided the development of the T-t-T seminar, in order to establish a pool of skilled trainers to carry out the standardised courses and thus ensure higher quality in the design, installation and operation of solar systems (grid-connected, stand-alone and hybrid solar PV systems).

The project was based on the design of a two events, one at EARTH University and a second version in San José, as an invitation of BMUB and the German Embassy in Costa Rica. RENAC was in charge of designing the two programs, starting with six country presentations, and six thematic workshops on climate policies, grid integration of renewables and policy frameworks. The company selected relevant speakers and managed participants, inviting relevant actors in the RE sector in LatAm (BCIE, OLADE, CEPAL) and its german counterparts in the development cooperation sector (GIZ, KAS). Following the workshops, RENAC offered a three-month online training on RE technologies in Spanish for the participants.

The project was based on the coordination and organization of the study trip for the south african ministry of infrastructure delegation (incl. Minister Mamabolo). RENAC was commissioned to not only provide the necessary introduction to renewable energies and PV in Germany, but to brief the delegates on the framework conditions for a sustainable market development in South Africa. The company organized field trip visits to different companies and institutions on the matter, provided the program schedule and management of the study trip including flights, hotels and transport logistics.

RENAC prepared and implemented two on-site missions to provide two workshops for the client, updating and implementing training modules to familiarize at least 10 BCI officers with general EE/RE technology/methodology, technical evaluation capability for EE/RE projects, Energy Audit understanding and employment, plus EE/RE-specific lending-technologies and procedures. The company also designed, together with the MACS marketing specialist, a specific training module for the marketing of EE/RE to train sales and marketing officers, and at least 10 loan officers of BIC.

RENAC developed for this project a series of four different 1 or 2-day workshops (3 x Istanbul, 1x Skopje) covering the a sequence of topics: General introduction to RE projects; RE regulatory framework; Technical aspects of hydro energy, biomass/biogas, wind energy and photovoltaic; and RE project finance aspects.

RENAC was appointed to organize a two-day workshop in Skopje on renewable energy financing for hydro power and bioenergy projects. The company developed the materials necessary, including presentations handouts and manuals. With the aim of assisting financial institutions in better understanding the benefits of RE lending and giving them support in getting a basic understanding of the scope of renewable energy project finance, as well as potential risks and opportunities.

RENAC developed of the training concept and methodology, based on the Labor Competency Standard EC0431 and NAMA, for a large-scale training with particular focus on energy auditors. The company provided the material development and selection of lecturers, as well as de design and execution of the seminar and the moderation of courses. Aside from the main training, RENAC also developed a training for multipliers / trainers, based on the guidelinesof the Consejo Nacional de Normalización y Certificación de Competencia Laboral (CONOCER), for the certification of new trainers, that allow the replicability of this training measures to cover energy auditors located throughout the country.

RENAC provided the capacity building program, for which it developed a capacity needs assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary. Additionally, RENAC prepared a turn-key training center EPC. The company executed a train-the-trainer along 40 days on all relevant renewable energy technologies.

The project activities were focused in the preparation of presentations, lectures and exercises for the execution of the training in Rio de Janeiro.

The project was aimed at building new capacities and sharing of information to facilitate energy efficiency measure application and support new policy frameworks. RENAC provided the development of a four-day in-person training program in Lusaka, for which the company designed the necessary seminars, selected speakers to conduct the lectures, and prepared all logistic ammenities for the training.

The project was based on the design and execution of the courses which included the assessment of participants knowledge for the training, preparation of teaching materials, practical trainings and the development of practically-oriented exercises by using case studies and application design exercises. The execution of the training courses was done by RENAC certified lecturers. The company supported as well in the logisitic organization of the experts and international flights and visas, and provided certificates of attendance and evaluation to the participants.

RENAC developed a capacity building program in two phases. The company offered an online training as an introduction to RE, for which RENAC open a project specific online learning space on its platform, plus provided the technical and administrative support. Its preparation included as well a pre-course questionnaire to establish participants needs and the preparation of the training material based on the results of the questionnaire. The second phase was the organization of a three-day in-person training focused on mini-grid applications of PV and energy efficiency measures. The course was executed at OFID headquarters in Vienna. RENAC prepared a post-course evaluation for the participants.

The project was based on the program design for the German Solar Training Week, which included RENAC’s design of the lecture schedule, review of training materials, selection of lecturers, moderation of the seminars.

The project centered in the execution of a study visit to Germany for Mexican participants. RENAC developed the complete program for the visit, aiming at promoting new technologies and the implementation of best practices in the area of energy efficiency in water management systems. The company designed and implemented a mixture of technical seminars and field trips to example projects located in Berlin, Wolfsburg and Hamburg.

This consultancy assignment was aimed at the establishment of the Energy Efficiency Demonstration Laboratory at PowerGrid Manesar site. RENAC consulted PowerGrid on the SCADA systems application for their models: energy efficiency compressor model, pump working model facility, fan energy efficiency and thermal loss in steam. RENAC provided the design of the training centre, the redaction and preparation of the technical documentation for the procurement of equipment, the design of the monitoring net/software solutions for SCADA systems, plus the conceptualization of the technical documentation for the integrated system “training equipment-monitoring net-software”.

RENAC executed a capacity needs assessment with the Renewable Energy Technical Institutions (RETIs), collecting information relevant to create the curriculum and training materials necessary for the T-t-T program. The company conceptualized and executed the train-the-trainer seminar and additional workshops and the selection of expert speakers.

The project was based on the development of quality standards that serve to inform and support related institutions and capacity building processes and activities for RE/EE vocational and CPD training in some MENA countries at both national and regional levels. RENAC conducted a study on main international standards and certification schemes for RE/EE vocational and continued professional development, including assessment of their transferability and applicability to MENA countries and presented the study as a source for the development of new regional quality standards.

For this four-day training workshop RENAC offered the design, implementation and execution of the training, which included the provision of all materials required for the training, as well as the trainer recruitment and the logistical organization of the workshop.

The project was based on a one year part-time online program run in Spanish. Students gained depth in technical knowledge, skills and competence in the different renewable energy technologies, as well as in the various phases of renewable energy project planning and development. RENAC developed and executed the online courses, case studies and self-test exercises as well as one week on-campus time with forty-hours of practical training held at EARTH University in Costa Rica.

The project was executed as a four-day seminar where RENAC provided an implementation of the workshops. The services offered were the design of the seminar, assessment of participants’ previous knowledge for the training, the development of teaching materials, practical exercises and the provision of a certificate of attendance at the end of the seminar. The company organized as well the expert to impart the seminar, general administration and reporting of the project, plus the translation of training materials into French.

RENAC provided a seminar on solar PV technology, risk assessment and economic evaluation of PV projects. Aiming to give an overview on the current market situation, the legal and technical due diligence process, presenting key issues when it comes to costs and financial risks/opportunities of these projects, plus understanding their structuring. RENAC developed, designed and implemented the seminar in a three-day workshop format in Honduras.

The project was based on the organization of a four-day workshop on economic and project analysis of wood-based heating and CHP Systems provided by RENAC, which included the designing of the seminar, the assessment of participants knowledge for the training, the preparation of teaching material, practical training and exercises and the provision of certificates of attendance at the end of the workshop. The company conducted a selection of speakers, guaranteeing a wide range of experiences to take part on the complete program.

The project aimed to support the development of the solar PV industry in Chile, for what RENAC provided the development of the concept for a training center in large scale PV plants and CSP. Activities for the project also included the field study with relevant stakeholders in Santiago and Antofagasta, Chile, data collection and a capacity needs assessment report. The company presented as well an analysis of expansion for potential similar training centers in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.

The project required the execution of an adapted seminar on engineering and design of PV Systems, where RENAC provided the execution of the five-day program which included the design and preparation of the training material, the assessment of participants knowledge previous to the seminar, design of practical training sessions and exercises, plus the allocation of communications equipment. The training laboratory and equipment to use in the course was made available by RENAC, using its own state-of-the-art training center. The company also provided attendance certificates for the participants.

RENAC developed and designed a short seminar,  which included the seminar material and conduction of a ninety-minute interactive training session. The company assessed the needs of the participants and provided a focused seminar to promote hybridization of rural mini-grids with PV technology in the region.

Based on the design of a training program and a training center to train skilled local staff, in order to develop Nigeria’s RE and EE market to be a forerunner, ensuring the highest quality of training services in the country. RENAC was in charge of this capacity building measure by executing a train-the-trainer scheme for local trainers at LEA. The company was responsible for the installation and equipmet of a suitable technical training center and a training lab for practical exercises in the framework of further education. The company provided the development and adaptation of teaching material and practical exercises to better ensure the knowledge transfer and quality assurance.

The project was based on the development and execution of a training program centered on an overview on the latest market and technology trends in PV, Solar Thermal Systems and CSP, their understanding, applications and implementation. RENAC provided the design, concept and composition of the Summer School, as well as teaching materials, practical training and exercises. Aiming at supplying participants with the knowledge on key success factors for solar technology applications, challenges of implementing them in Morocco, financial drivers and barriers. The company conducted the training which included an evaluation on the summer school to improve and record results.

The project was based on creating a two-day seminar program to understand and manage the resource map database of IRENA for renewable energy resource potentials. The seminar included a technology overview in renewable energy, policy relevant facts about solar energy technologies, analysis of case studies from around the world and on specific examples of spatial planning and RE policy development, as well as insights and best practices from successful international experiences. RENAC developed the didactic concept and the material of the workshop as well as the seminar including the conduction of the three two-day seminars.

RENAC developed a program for a study tour which helped DG-NREEC understand the current technologies used in biogas and biomass power plants and lessons-learned from the operational stage of these type of projects in Germany. The company identified suitable sites as per GIZ requirement and prepared all administrative works, providing a comprehensive agenda with detailed transportation and lunch arrangements. RENAC provided the preparation, execution and closure, as well as the planning of the final program, itinerary and booklet with detailed relevant information on the sites that were visited.

The project was based on the development of management capacities of Alternative Energy Development Board officials and provincial energy departments in planning and operation of large-scale PV projects. RENAC provided the training, for which the training material was developed, as well as a technical manual, and conducted the training. The company provided a report on the conducted training as part of the services offered.

Focused on implementing a broad training on biogas, the project was based on two trenches of trainings. One was an online introduction to the technology, with a duration of three weeks. The second was an on-site training for which RENAC developed and executed the seminar. Activities included preparation of training material, practical exercises and use cases, as well as organizing logisitically the excursion to the site visit. The company combined a theoretical approach with a practical one, using the university’s laboratory and facilities for the training.

The project was based on the development of the interactive workshop for which RENAC was in charge of the design and execution. This included the preparation of the schedule and of the presentations, plus the thorough conduction of the event. The company provided as well a simulation of capacity building measures that the participants needed to dissect and provide effective strategies for the measures to be executed.

The project was based on a five-day in-person training in Berlin, with a combination of lectures, practical exercises and site visits. RENAC provided the design and implementation of the training which focused on developing content around back-up systems with diesel and solar PV, PV fundamentals, diesel gensets, mini-grids, backup BoS components, storage batteries, energy efficiency for commercial and industrial applications and a case study with practical exercises. The company provided as well site visits and meetings in Berlin to topic-relevant organizations.

RENAC was commissioned to configurate its online platform and administrate the participants from IGEN-GEC/GIZ. The company was also in charge of implementing and provisioning the online course content, and of moderating two Virtual Classroom sessions on frequency control in electricity grids, residual load and conflict between renewables / base load power stations. RENAC was also in charge of moderating the discussion forum and e-mail support.

The project was based on a compilaiton of online and live-virtual trainings, workshops and visit tours in Berlin, for which RENAC developed and designed the training materials and conducted the different sessions. The company was responsible to plan, organize and conduct the train-the-trainer seminar and in cooperation with all project partners to organize and implement the workshops, as well as compile information about German success stories and contact biogas technology providers for inclusion in BIOGAS3 handbook.

The project centered on the development and execution of a training for the World Bank staff in Thailand. The training materials were elaborated with updated information on RE technologies in the focus country, these covered technical aspects of project development necessary for the deployment of renewable energy on a larger scale. RENAC offered the full preparation and logistical organization of the seminar which included the design of the materials required to cover the broad scope of wind and PV, plus the implementation and moderation of the seminar. The company provided a training that combined theoretical and practical exercises.

RENAC activities on the project were to execute the technical training. This included a capacity needs assessment to create the curriculum and training material necessary. The company conducted the implementation with experts on the topic of solar thermal systems, and moderation of the seminar.

The project was based on the development and implementation of technical assistance packages, which included a capacity building directed to institutional and regulatory framework development. RENAC offered the previous analysis of current energy policy at the targeted countries. SE4All aimed as well at identifying concrete investments and to increase the countries’ administrative and technical capacities with regard to energy.

The project aimed to do a thorough analysis of the energy policy of the targeted countries with regard to the SE4All overall objectives. To increase administrative and technical country capabilities with regard to energy policy and strategy design, implementation and enforcement of reforms, by executing capacity building initiatives according to each institutional and regulatory framework. The assignment focused on identifying time-feasible investments and supporting their financing and implementation in line with energy access, rural electrification, RE, and EnEff.

The project was based on the development of curricula on large-scale solar thermal, providing theoretical lectures, practical exercises and field excursions which aimed to give insights on these systems. With this aim, RENAC prepared a program for developing participants’ engineering skills on solar thermal projects. The company designed and developed the training material, as well as did the selection of speakers, marketing and administration of the participants and moderation of the seminar.

One of the main identified barriers to renewable energy and energy efficiency was the lack of awareness and knowledge concerning opportunities to economically mitigate GHG in individual industries. The GIZ and Government of East Java Province commissioned RENAC to develop a concept for the new Green Energy Centre (GEC), implementing activities (interviews and workshops) for the collection of information from relevant and interested stakeholders in Indonesia and provide a stakeholder analysis, done in coordination with GIZ PAKLIM.

The project was based on the design and implementation of a five-day training seminar, which included RENAC developed an equipment list and software needed for the training, assessment of the participants knowledge, preparation of teaching materials and practical training exercises. The company organized the training logistics in Kuwait and provided attendance certifications for the participants.

The project was based on three activities. First, a three-day training capacity building which aimed to create awareness on state-of-the-art technology solutions for PV-diesel Mini-Grid Systems, directed to engineers and technicians from Kenya Power and REA and other relevant private sector companies. And two workshops in Mozambique, one on operation and maintenance of mini-grid systems and its benefits in the long-term, and a second one, on creating awareness for technical options and cost-cutting effects of PV-diesel-hybrid systems. RENAC assessed the needs of the participants, created the seminar design and training material, and implemented the three activities in both countries.

RENAC provided the coordination in updating the existing needs assessment of technical and teaching equipment for the master programs and the recommendations concerning the procurement phase timeline for the required hardware. RENAC consulted as well on the training concept, based in its experience as a training provider in the academic sector, to enable the further development of the students in RE matters.

RENAC conducted a three-day training in Port Elizabeth, in which the instructors got familiarized with the Schreiner didactic system „Solaranlage-Röhrenkollektor“, to enable the use of relevant functions of this training system in practice and encouraged the participants to discover the system’s full spectrum of potential tasks. The company designed the seminar, incl. preparation of teaching material, practical training and exercises. RENAC also offered an assessment of participants’ knowledge for the training, plus a visit to Schreiner Didaktik.
