Curriculum and Training Design
Advance PV Design: Graduates with prior PV training or professionals already familiar with PV systems who seek to deepen their expertise in advanced simulation, system optimization, and design under specific climatic conditions. O&M: Engineers, technicians, and project managers responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PV plants, focusing on ensuring long-term performance and reliability. BESS: Professionals involved in PV project development, system integration, or energy management who need knowledge of designing, sizing, and operating battery storage solutions alongside PV systems.
RENAC’s role in the project was to prepare and conduct the in-person trainings in Sofia for SolarPro. The focus of the specific trainings was to conduct advanced PV system simulations with PVsyst, perform shading analysis and loss assessment using 3D modeling and apply performance monitoring tools for PV systems. Additionally, the participants were trained in carrying out preventive and corrective O&M practices and interpreting and evaluating real O&M data. Finally, they also gained knowledge in the design and sizing of battery energy storage systems (BESS), simulating integration of BESS with PV systems for energy management and grid stability.
