Equip Yourself With the Knowledge to Lead Energy Efficiency Initiatives
Applying Energy Efficiency provides a comprehensive overview of the technical and economic aspects of energy efficiency measures. This energy efficiency course online includes five courses that cover support mechanisms for industrial sector and built environment energy efficiency projects. Key attributes of energy efficiency measures are highlighted, such as savings potential and organisational aspects (e.g. energy management systems and energy audits).
To supplement the learning experience, participants will have access to optional introductory courses on energy and electricity topics. These courses are not mandatory, do not contain assignments, and will not be covered in the exam. Participants new to these topics would benefit from reviewing the content in these courses.
Solar Dept. – Marta Stetsiv
Conceptualises, plans, and manages international and national training programmes, materials, and projects for energy efficiency in buildings at RENAC. Previously worked as a technical advisor at GIZ Ukraine for two IKI projects on energy-efficient building refurbishment. Brings extensive experience as a team lead and engineer in the energy sector, with in-depth knowledge of electricity supply networks, energy markets, policies, and grid technologies. Holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Systems of Energy Consumption from Lviv Polytechnic National University in Ukraine.
Energy Transition Dept. – Albrecht Tiedemann
Manages international capacity development programmes on green hydrogen, energy transition, and Power-to-X (PtX). Designs and implements blended learning seminars on green hydrogen projects, PtX pathway assessment, grid integration, and wind energy economics. Has extensive experience in integrating renewables into the German energy system and advising government and industry on strategic energy transition topics. Holds an Engineer for Environmental Technology degree from the Technical University of Berlin.
